About us
We’re going to spend weeks inside your home. The least you deserve is to know beforehand who we are, where to find us and why, after more than a thousand renovations, we still work the same way.
Fifteen years renovating Málaga, home by home
We’re RIM, a Málaga renovation company based on Carril de la Cordobesa, right in the Carretera de Cádiz district. We’ve spent more than fifteen years renovating flats, houses and premises across the city, and in the last year alone we’ve completed more than 80 renovations and hold one of the best ratings in Málaga (4.9★ on Google).
We started small, with one team and a handful of jobs a year in our neighbourhood. We didn’t grow by advertising, but the old-fashioned way: one happy family told another. District by district — from the Centre to Teatinos, from Huelin to El Limonar — RIM became one of the best-rated renovation companies in Málaga. And that’s a responsibility we don’t want to lose.
Because this trade drags along stories you’ll surely recognise: the budget that grew every month, the phone that stopped answering halfway through, the pending finish that “we’ll come back to sort” and never came. RIM works exactly the opposite of all that, and has done so for long enough that it isn’t a promise but a track record.
From that come the three things we don’t negotiate. The budget is closed before starting, by items and in writing: what you sign is what you pay. During the work you always speak to the same person: whoever visits your home on day one is who picks up the phone in week eight. And we don’t hand over until the finishes are there, because for us the final check is as much a part of the job as the paint.
How well or badly we do it isn’t for us to tell you. That’s what the reviews from those who’ve already had a job done with RIM and the finished projects, with their before and after, are for. We’d rather you saw it than believed us.
How we decide
Three criteria we apply to every project, even when they cost us money.
Saying no in time
If a project doesn’t fit what we know how to do well, or the real timeline we can keep, we tell you at the first visit. Losing a job hurts less than handing over a half-done one.
Always showing the work
Your job has no closed door: you come whenever you like. And if opening a wall turns up something unforeseen, you see it with your own eyes before deciding anything.
The last 5%
The joints, the skirting, the door that catches. It’s the part that shows least in photos and shows most in living. Until that 5% is there, for us the job isn’t done.
Now you know how we think. If it fits, the next step is a coffee at the office or a visit to your home.
