Frequently asked questions
Do you renovate whole houses or also by areas?
Both. Some clients hand us the whole house and others start with the ground floor, the pool or the porch and carry on in phases. As it’s your own home, it can be planned at leisure; we help you order the priorities by budget and use.
Can you join two floors, change the staircase or open onto the plot?
Yes. Detached homes offer the most scope: moving a staircase, opening the living room onto the plot with large windows, gaining a suite upstairs or making the most of a basement. Anything that affects the structure is calculated by an engineer before we touch it.
Can I live in the house during the work?
In a large house, often yes: we work by areas and free up floors as we go. We assess it with you depending on the scope. When the renovation is full and affects services throughout the house, it usually pays to be away for those weeks.
Do you handle the outside: façade, porch, pool?
Yes, it’s part of renovating a house. Façade, external joinery, porches, pergolas and getting the pool and its area up to scratch. A house is enjoyed from the outside too, especially in Málaga.
How do you control the budget on a big job?
With itemised costs and a fixed price broken down by phases. On long jobs it matters even more: you always know what’s been done and what’s left. And if you decide to add something, it’s priced separately before we do it.
